Blur's "stupid" new album

Damon to play guitars on Think Tank follow-up

28 Sep 05 - Blur are to record a new album entirely as a three-piece with Damon Albarn playing guitars.

Graham Coxon has not returned to the fold and the former Blur guitarist will continue with his solo career. His new album is due out next year.

Damon Albarn says the sound of the Blur album will be different to previous releases, because he's now playing guitar.

He said: "There is a Blur record at the moment but it's very basic.

"The reason why it's so basic is we decided that if we're going to make another record it's just got to be the three of us and I've got to play guitar. And because I'm such a rudimentary guitarist it has to be really stupid and basic punk rock."

Sigur rós and the toothfaeries, the creators of their merchandise, are fed up with the extortionate fees they are required to pay to concert venues for selling their t-shirts to fans at the american shows. Half of the profit of all merchandise sold at tonight’s show at ‘the joint’ in the hard rock hotel, las vegas, goes to the venue and new taxes. Sigur rós have decided to protest against these ridiculous fees by selling their t-shirts for $1 each at tonight’s show in Las Vegas, leaving the venue with about 50 cents per tshirt.

Nobre linhagem portuguesa, o seu nome é de raízes toponímicas, pois deriva do nome da terra de Paiva. Parece ser ela um ramo da dos «de Baião», visto descender de um dos filhos de D. Arnaldo de Baião, D. Guido Araldes, senhor de Aguiar de Sousa e de Paço de Sousa. Como é óbvio, no entanto, o uso daquele nome como apelido só viria a dar-se algumas gerações mais tarde, e com João Soares de Paiva, o Trovador, que viveu mais ou menos entre 1275 e 1325.

Sofinco pursues its international expansion drive with the acquisition of CP Leasing in the Czech Republic and the finalization of the acquisition of Credilar in Portugal.

Sofinco has signed an agreement with the PPF group, one of the largest privately-owned financial groups in the Czech Republic, to acquire a 100% interest in CP Leasing. The deal will be completed once it has been cleared by the Czech competition authorities.

CP Leasing, which was founded in 1997 and operates in the Czech Republic, provides financing for vehicles, primarily under leasing agreements. It ranks among the ten largest leasing companies in its home market and its market share stands at around 10%. For 2004, CP Leasing posted new lease production of EUR137 million (excluding VAT), plus EUR3 million in other types of financing.

Its portfolio of leased assets is worth EUR166 million, and it posted 2004 net income of EUR6.7 million.

This acquisition will help Sofinco establish itself in the Czech automobile financing market, where it gradually intends to roll out its entire range of products.


Sofinco has also announced the acquisition of control in Credilar, a financing subsidiary of Portuguese bank Millennium bcp, under the agreement that was signed in late December 2004. Credilar’s activities will be combined with those of Sofinco’s own Portuguese subsidiary Credibom, giving rise to one of the largest players in the Portuguese market.

These two deals are part of Crédit Agricole SA’s strategy of expanding in the European consumer lending business through a combination of organic growth and selective acquisitions to strengthen or round out its existing operations. "

Ontem quando me dirigi ao meu carro verifiquei que o tinha deixado aberto! Ora esteve assim durante três dias, o que me leva a pensar em 3 hipoteses:

- Ninguém reparou q esteve aberto;

- Ninguém se incomodou a ver o que o "chaço" tinha dentro.
